Communications with depth

We live in a time where superficial, fast paced communications are dominating. There is no escaping this, but for real change to come about communications need to have depth.

I am a strategic communications professional focused on how to communicate with their audiences, specialising in the not-for-profit, global development think tank sectors.

I have worked with organisations, teams & individuals to help them to craft communications  & engagement strategies. This goes beyond building awareness of an issue to exploring the role of language, behaviour & values in narrative & policy change

I am particularly interested in the role of relationships, how we can listen better to others, resolve conflict or polarization & create new narratives.

I also write and develop content , as well as guides, blogs & articles on effective communications.

About me

I have 20 years global experience, working in countries such as Indonesia, Egypt, India, Ghana, Vietnam, Colombia, South Africa, Switzerland & the UK.

Publications, blogs & articles

I have written a range of blogs, guides, case studies & articles on how to communicate evidence & ideas for change.

Publishers include The Guardian, Oxfam's From Poverty to Power, the London School of Economics, On Think Tanks and ODI.

We hired Caroline to support us on the Bernard van Leer Foundation’s refreshed communications strategy. She provided us with thought-provoking & well-organised insights & recommendations.

She’s a wonderful writer who knows her stuff when it comes to influencing policy change.

A pleasure to work with!

"I've worked with Caroline for more than a decade on different projects.

I have always been impressed at her ability to pull together disparate threads & opinions into well articulated, relevant & practical communication strategies.

What's more, she is great to work with – organized, professional and friendly."
